Do you feel afraid of exercise? Don’t worry. We will do things very slowly, giving your body time to get used to movement. We also move very slowly and mindfully, with our breath. By moving this way, we are in touch with our bodies, and we quickly learn what is and is not possible at any point in time. This class will be a relaxing time. I can’t say there will be no exercise-related discomfort, ever. That happens in people who are in very good, athletic shape. But, I can say that you can quickly start feeling better and there won’t always be discomfort, and you may have no discomfort at any time. Each person is different. Even if there is discomfort, there are things that can be done to make it much less than you would expect. The reward is much greater than any possible discomfort!
